Mark Twain's books were works of fiction, right? They weren't indecent or pornographic or too violent and yet some of them aluding to God and the bible stories were banned, right?

Yet the Bible is fiction. The bible contains pornographic and violent accounts and much of it is indecent? Why wasn't/isn't the Bible banned?
