From the 1940's I recall a minister directing a class of primary school kids to repeat such utterings from the apostle's creed as "The holy father"s only son, who was born of a VIRGIN,later died and rose from the dead to enter heaven....that we believed in the holy ghost,the holy catholic church, the resurrection of the body, life everlasting etc...." I was among those kids and not one of us was aware that we were being subjected to child abuse.
