Judaism, Christianity, and Islamic beliefs come from a very large, violent book. The book, from a literary standpoint, tells many short stories of a variety of supposed stories , though it remains inconsistent in places, it forms and epic tale of many heroes loving, fighting evil, worshiping and winning, but like any epic novel it comes to an end, happy and sad. But at the end of the day, it is just another story book, just another group of short stories that tell nice little moral lessons of an age of about 2 millenia ago - where it is perfectly okay to throw out two of your daughters to a group of rapists over two strangers - but in the end, it is nothing but a story.
