When I find myself marveling at a fiery sunset, or a cloud formation across blue sky, or reflections of the skyline on a clear glacier lake, I reflect at the beauty and majesty of the natural world, and the feeling that gives me is wonderful, just the awareness I am a part of nature. To take that feeling and then...try to imagine that the bloodthirsty tyrant god described in the bible is somehow behind it all...is to deminish my experience completely.
