The roman emperor constantine called all the church bishops together at the council of nicaea. He offered money and positions of power to have the bible put together his way.therefore one can easily argue that the first christian bible was commissioned, paid for , inspected and approved by a pagan emperor for church use. Constantine practiced pagonism his intire life. He was not baptized until he was on his death beb. His adoption of chistianity into the roman empire was to increase his political power. He is the one who changed the christian Sabbath from Saturday to sunday in honor of the pagan sun god.
