Newly acquired knowledge must be incorporated into the hierarchy of existing information -and find its value among other ideas. From this follows cultural and social agreement as to what is sinful. So for the Christian, with the initial taste of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge by Adam and Eve, begins the process of defining the first, original sin, and the subsequent demise of the Garden of Eden and the fall of man.
