Let’s pick one type of creature at random. For example, ants. Now let the ants have self awareness and they decide that you are their creator, their god. Would you expect them to worship you, even if you were in fact their creator? Personally, I would neither crave nor want their worship. The concept in and of itself is self-indulgent to the point of pettiness.
