I have found that the greatest joys and rewards in life come from seeking answers in the real world and not indulging in fantasy.

Religion will not increase the quantity of years you live,
but it will decrease the quality of them.

Man created God.

comment on atheist quote:
You cannot disprove god's existence, just like you cannot disprove the existence of dragons. However, considering the facts that most fossils are actually buried too far for us to reach, and the possibilities of other planets housing life forms, the existence of some sort of dragon existing or having once existed, is easily possible.
God on the other hand, created the universe, and the world. Never take into consideration that the earth is microscopic in comparison to the universe. Aside from god taking interest in what would be invisible to his eyes, god also takes interest in a species that has only been around for 250,000 years max, when this speck of dust has been around for well over 4 billion years. How is this possible? God is omnipotent, and because god is omnipotent, he was sitting there while humans were slaughtering each other, ironically, over him.
Creationists have placed god beyond the universe so that he is immeasurable by any scientific means. For this reason I find it much easier to believe in the existence of dragons, than the existence of such a god.
Who created God?

It was originally invented as reassurance, and provided security to the human race during a time of fear. It was later used by various dictators to gain more power. At least those are my thoughts on the topic. I probably should have worded that one better.

Religion was created to give the leaders more power, and in the process of its destruction, it will once again give leaders more power. Perhaps that is a good thing. Power is always better in the hands of the sane.
I disagree. Religion played some role in our evolution. Its been in every culture and society since the beginning of our species. Perhaps it was a copping mechanisim because of our knowledge of our mortallity. I'd like feed back from anybody that reads this.

Never heard that one before. Here I am thinking that I'm all creative coming up with this quote.

You call him God, I call him Yahweh. To you he is master of the universe, to me he is another imaginary psychopathic non-existent dictator.
You call him God, I call him Yahweh. To you he is master of the universe, to me he is another imaginary character from ancient mithology.
